SEAFOOD UPDATE

We are now starting to see some availability issues and price increases, due to the BP oil spill in the Gulf coast. Right now it seems to be focused on shrimp, oysters and scallops. Even though we no longer get product from the Gulf Coast area, the availability from the other areas are starting to dry up. They are either running out of product due to over demand or the prices are just moving up too high, too fast. As of right now we are doing our best to keep in the safest and freshest seafood available…. but we must warn you that prices will be increasing on these products, and/or they may just become unavailable.

Parkers Seafood has served the Roanoke valley for over 90 years delivering the best quality seafood at the best prices and we hope to continue doing so for years to come. We ask that you continue to pray for the fishermen and women in the Gulf coast region, and also for the seafood industry in general, because we are all going to feel the effects of the crisis for a long time to come.
